EMOM stands for "Every Minute On the Minute" and is a type of interval workout where you perform a specific task at the start of every minute for a set amount of time. A popular workout style adapted by the functional fitness community.

Metcon is simply short for “Metabolic Conditioning”, mostly popular to describe a workout involving repeated and/or sustained high-intensity exercises, usually involving weight lifting movements, utilizing circuits, complexes and, at times, very specific and timed groups of exercises.
Tabata is a high intensity interval workout that was inspired by Dr. Izumi Tabata which mainly consists of an all-out extreme intensity for 20 seconds, followed by 10 seconds of rest. This cycle is repeated for 8 rounds or 4 minutes total. This style of workout improves both the aerobic and anaerobic systems of participan.
