Tabata is a high intensity interval workout that was inspired by Dr. Izumi Tabata. The tabata structure is usually performed in this manner: All-out extreme intensity for 20 seconds, followed by 10 seconds of rest. This cycle is repeated for 8 rounds or 4 minutes total. This style of workout improves both the aerobic and anaerobic systems of participants.
There are also several different variations of the tabata that you will find in this program. In addition to the tabata workouts, we have included scaled versions of these workouts when necessary to encompass all levels of fitness.
